Howard Dyke presents a new series of large scale paintings and collages based around materiality and the figure, played through the devices of abstraction and gesture. Cut, torn, displaced images are played out on a variety of substrates including translucent, coloured and patterned tarpaulins; a red PVC lorry side curtain split in half, adorned by two monumental imposing figures; and a painting of Fidel Castro made on a 2017 general election aluminium hoarding.
